Bertha Montgomery's Story

Received Teacher's Cert. from Alabama Lutheran College(now Concordia in Selma, Alabama) in 1963. Attended Concordia Teacher's College, Seward, Nebraska for 1yr. Received BA from Ursuline College for Women in Business Admin. Managed the Accounting dept. at Wolf Envelope Co. Cleveland, Ohio until relocating to Brooklyn, N.Y. in October 1991 where my husband received a call to Epiphany Lutheran Church and School. Was married to Theodore Kimmons for 12 years , 1 daughter, Kanita. Bob and I have a total of 3 Children and 3 grands plus 2...Expand for more
adopted grands. Kanita DuCloux (who lost her husband to brain cancer in Feb. 2006) has 2 daughters; Alexandra 13 and Kristin 10. Kanita received a PHD from UGA and teaches at Western Kentucky as a math Prof. Kathleen Gahagen, Lutheran pastor on sick leave from Abiding Savior in Buffalo, N.Y. Married, no children. Patrick (Michelle) is a Lutheran pastor at Immanuel Luth. in Detroit, Michigan.They adopted our youngest grand Zaniah,April 2012. Bob and I are looking forward to retirement soon. However we don't know where we will go.
